Amid the continuous surge of the northeast monsoon, locally called "amihan," Baguio City's air temperature on Saturday morning, Jan. 7, dropped to 14.6°C.

Based on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration's (PAGASA) latest data, Baguio City had the lowest air temperature in the country as of Jan. 7. Completing the list of areas with the lowest air temperatures on Saturday are the following:
Tanay, Rizal (18.8°C)
Malaybalay, Bukidnon (19.5°C)
Basco, Batanes (19.8°C)
Tayabas, Quezon (20°C)
Baler, Aurora (20.5°C)
Abucay, Bataan (21.0°C)
Munoz, Nueva Ecija (21.2°C)
Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (21.5°C)
Casiguran, Aurora (21.6°C)
According to the state weather bureau, the northeast monsoon will continue to bring cold winds and cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon.
