Motorcycle parts store owner shot dead by riding-in-tandem in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon - A 49-year-old owner of a motorcycle parts store was shot dead by unidentified riding-in tandem suspects on Thursday afternoon, Jan.5 at Barangay Guis-guis in this town.

The victim was identified as Victor Marquez, a resident of Sitio Masayahin, Barangay Janagdong also here.

A 15-year-old female student and a resident of Barangay Lutucan Malabag was hurt by a stray bullet after she was hit in her left arm. She was sent to Lucena United Doctors Hospital.

Based on the police report, the victim arrived at around 6:30 p.m. from Sambat Sto Cristo and parked his vehicle in front of the Melzeedio Motor Parts which he owned.

The two suspects on board a motorcycle suddenly appeared, and the backrider shot the victim several times.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspects fled toward the direction of Barangay Guis-guis Talon.

Recovered from the crime scene were 12 cartridge cases of caliber .45.
