Man struck, killed by pay loader in Batangas

LOBO, Batangas – A 43-year-old heavy equipment operator was struck and killed by a pay loader on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 5, in Barangay Sawang, this town.

The Lobo Municipal Police Station identified the victim as Noel Lopez, a resident of Barangay Laiya, San Juan, Batangas.

Police said the victim was towing a dump truck with a pay loader. However, upon reaching a steep and slippery portion of the road, the pay loader slid down.

The victim jumped off but he was struck by the pay loader. Lopez was taken to the Lobo Municipal Hospital where he was declared dead.
