Complaints vs Jomari Yllana dismissed

What great news to bookend 2022 for Jomari Yllana.

Just got word that the two complaints filed against the actor-politician by former partner, Joy Reyes Bernabe, had been dismissed by the Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor for “lack of jurisdiction and for insufficient evidence.”

In a 10-page resolution prepared on October 28, 2022 by Assistant City Prosecutor Victorino L. Badua, Jr., it was stated, thus: “This resolves the present complaint for Violation of RA 9262 (VAWC) and violation of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Libel), claiming that she was a victim of physical, psychological and economic abuses, and of libelous statements on social media.”

Recommending approval of the resolution was Rossana Morales Mantojo, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor, and approved by Vimar M. Barcellano, City Prosecutor.

Jomari, currently a councilor in Paranaque City, can look forward to a bright new year 2023 with this development.

“I can only hope for the best in the interest of my two children from that partnership,” he says.
