Carlo Aquino on Charlie Dizon: 'We're still getting to know each other'

Carlo Aquino has opened up concerning speculations about him and actress Charlie Dizon making sweet music.

Speaking at the sidelines of the press conference for his upcoming film with Barbie Imperial titled "I Love Lizzy" on Friday, the actor admitted that he and Charlie have indeed been seeing each other.

But he made clear, "We're still getting to know each other."

He added, "Ang ganda ng pasok ni April (Charlie's real name) sa buhay ko. Very positive."

As to people bashing him on social media about it, he said, "Okay lang."

"Masakit," he added. "Pero bakit ako paaapekto? Para sa akin kasi importante ang peace of mind. So I try to maintain that. And I'm thankful that I'm surrounded by people na nagmamahal at umuunawa sa akin. As long as I have that, I'm good."

He'd rather not say anything about his ex, Trina Candaza.

This, even if the latter has been sharing cryptic posts seemingly alluding to him on social media.

"At the end of the day nanay siya ng anak namin, si Mithi so, I'd rather keep my silence," Carlo related.

If anything, he is hopeful he'd get to bond again with their child.

"Matagal-tagal na rin. Hopefully, one of these days mapahiram sa akin," he said.
