PANGASINAN -- A total of 76 cases of fireworks-related injuries were recorded in the province from Dec. 21, 2022 to Jan. 5, 2023, the Provincial Health Office reported.
The number was not that alarming, although the total surpassed the 39 cases recorded in the same period last year.
The PHO report also said that the youngest victim was a three year old girl while the oldest was a 38-year old male.
Most of the injured were males who used skyrocket, boga, whistle bomb and luces.
Areas with the most number of injuries were Dagupan City with 12 cases, San Carlos City with eight cases, Mangaldan and Manaoag with seven cases each, and Binmaley with five cases.
The PHO said no injury on stray bullets was reported in the province.
