Muntinlupa LGU provides free water to residents due to repair at Maynilad facility
The Muntinlupa City government provided free water to affected residents as Maynilad Water Services implemented water service interruption.
In an advisory, Maynilad announced water service interruptions in service areas of its Putatan Water Treatment Plant in Muntinlupa.

It said the amount of water produced at the treatment plant has decreased due to a broken sludge removal equipment.
While the equipment is being repaired, Maynilad said it needed to divide among its affected customers the limited supply of water.
The water service interruption started on Dec. 29 and will last until Jan. 15. The affected customers are in service areas of Maynilad in Barangays Poblacion, Tunasan, Ayala Alabang, Alabang, Cupang, Sucat, Putatan, Tunasan and Buli in Muntinlupa.
Also affected are Maynilad customers in Bacoor City, Imus City, Cavite City, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario in Cavite; and certain areas in Las Pinas, Paranaque and Pasay.
The Muntinlupa City government distributed water to different areas such as Everlasting Street in South Greenheights Village, Putatan at South Ridge, Victoria Homes, Tunasan.
“The Muntinlupa City government continues to communicate with Maynilad to speed up the repair at their plant,” the city government said.
Maynilad said it has allotted 66 mobile water tankers to provide water in affected areas. There are also 35 stationary water tanks installed in certain areas from which people can get water.
