High value individual nabbed in Bacolod buy-bust, P102,000 worth of shabu seized

BACOLOD CITY -- A high value individual who yielded 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 was arrested during a police operation at Purok Magti-ayon, Barangay 10 here on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

The subject was identified as Rodolfo Vego Jr., 44, of Barangay 10.

Capt. Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said the suspect was allegedly caught in the act repacking the illegal drugs during the buy-bust operation.

Pastrana said that Vego reportedly took over his son’s alleged illegal drug activity when the latter was arrested last year.

Pastrana said that Vego was placed under monitoring for three months before they launched an operation to arrest him.

It was the police station’s first buy-bust operation this year, according to Pastrana.
