Cops bust W. Visayas' 2nd most wanted drug suspect

ILOILO CITY – Police arrested the second most wanted drug suspect in Western Visayas region and his cohort during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Police Regional Office (PRO-6) identified the main suspect as Eddie Belleza Sevillo, a resident of Iloilo City who is tagged as the region’s Top 2 priority high value individual (HVI) in the list of drug personalities.

The 39-year-old drug suspect known also as ‘Boy-Boy’ was caught after selling shabu to an undercover cop in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday evening in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo District.

Also arrested by the joint operatives from PRO-6’s Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU-6) and Iloilo City Police Station 6 was 38-year-old Richelle Rocha Germo.

Seized from the duo were more than 110 grams of shabu with an estimated street price of 748,000.

PRO-6 lauded the operations.

“My operatives in anti-illegal drugs are exerting their best efforts to rid all illegal drug dealers in this region,” said PRO-6 director Brig. General Leo Francisco in a statement.

“Dahil ito ang mandato namin, ang mapanatili ang kapayapan at seguridad ng bawat isa,” added BGen. Francisco.
