3 men arrested for stealing P57k worth of telecom cables in Dasmariñas, Cavite

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – Three men were arrested for allegedly stealing telecommunication cables in Barangay San Francisco I on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Dasmariñas City Police Station (CPS) identified the suspects as Ronnie A. Palmones, Jobert S. Martines, and Renz Joseph E. Bernal.

Initial investigation showed barangay officers who were patrolling the area caught the suspects in the act of stealing the wires.

Recovered from the suspects' possession were 10 meters of telecommunication cable with an estimated value of P57,277. Authorities also confiscated the tools used to cut the wires.

The suspects are now under the custody of Dasmariñas CPS and are facing theft charges.
