Valenzuela, Malabon LGUs open one-stop shops for business permit renewal, tax payment
The Valenzuela and Malabon City governments on Tuesday, Jan. 3, opened business one-stop shops in the cities for residents and business owners to conveniently process their business permit renewal and tax payment.
According to the Valenzuela City government, seven business one-stop shops were launched in the city along with the extensive promotion of the usage of the “Paspas Permit Online,” the city’s business permit application system which allows business owners to process transactions easily and safely.
The one-stop shops are located at the Allied Local Emergency Response Teams (ALERT) Center Multipurpose Hall (for taxpayers from barangays Arkong Bato, Palasan, Pulo, Poblacion, Pariancillo Villa, Balangkas, Isla, Bisig, Tagalag, Mabolo, Coloong, Dalandanan, Malanday, Pasolo, Rincon, Malinta, Veinte Reales, and Wawang Pulo), Sentro ng Sama-Samang Serbisyo (3S) Center Ugong (barangays Ugong, Mapulang Lupa, and Bagbaguin), 3S Center Punturin (barangays Punturin, Bignay, Lawang Bato, and Canumay East), 3S Center Karuhatan, 3S Center Gen. T. De Leon, 3S Center Marulas, and 3S Center Canumay West (barangays Canumay West, Maysan, Paso De Blas, Parada, and Lingunan).
They are open from Jan. 3-6, 9-13, and 16-20 (weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and on Jan. 7 and 14 (Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
The local government encouraged taxpayers to create their Paspas Permit Online accounts by visiting the city’s website (www.valenzuela.gov.ph).
Services from the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Assessor's Office, City Treasurer's Office, Office of the Building Official (OBO), Local Civil Registry, City Health Office, and City Zoning Office can also be processed through the online system.
It added that the business one-stop shops were opened for those who have no means of paying online.
The local government also reminded the residents of the deadlines of the tax payment per quarter which will be on Jan. 20 (first quarter deadline), April 20 (second quarter), July 20 (third quarter), and Oct. 20 (fourth quarter).
Meanwhile, the Malabon City Business Permit and Licensing Office led the opening of the E-Business One-Stop Shop at the Robinsons Townmall in the city on Tuesday.
The city government said that the business one-stop shop aims to speed up the renewal of the residents' business permits, and provide them with a convenient place to do the transactions.
The one-stop shop will operate in the mall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Jan. 20, it added.
For real property taxpayers, the local government said that the payment deadlines will be on March 31(first quarter), June 30 (second quarter), Sept. 30 (third quarter), and Dec. 31(fourth quarter).

Both the Malabon and Valenzuela City governments urged the taxpayers to pay their taxes on time to avoid paying for surcharges (additional charges) and interests.
