Strong winds damage 10 houses in Zamboanga City

A HOUSE in Zamboanga City sustained heavy damage from strong winds which battered the eastern coastline on New Year’s Day. (Zamboanga City LGU photo)

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Ten houses were damaged by strong winds here on New Year’s Day.

Heavy rains and strong winds pummeled Barangay Tumalutab, a coastal city in the east coast, at 7:30 p.m.

Houses made of light materials in Sitios Look and Pitas were destroyed. No casualties were reported.

The city government has provided assistance to affected families.
