CEBU CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P7.5 million in a Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in Central Visayas from 12:01 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, to 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Ninety-five buy-bust operations were conducted and 104 persons were arrested by the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) in the 24-hour operation.
A total of 1,114.55 grams of shabu worth P7,578,940 were seized.
The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office had the biggest haul with 538.15 grams of shabu amounting to P3.6 million.
The Cebu City Police Office confiscated 401.62 grams of shabu worth P2.7 million while the Cebu Police Provincial Office seized 128.03 grams of shabu valued at P870,604.
Two-hundred four gamblers were arrested in 88 anti-illegal gambling operations.
One-hundred twenty-two unlicensed guns and two explosives were seized while 12 individuals were arrested in the campaign against loose firearms.
Seven most wanted persons and 83 persons with pending warrants of arrest were arrested.
Brig. Gen Jerry Bearis, Central Visayas police director, lauded PRO-7 personnel for another successful SACLEO.
“This one-day accomplishment is a product of your utmost commitment and diligence in our anti-criminality campaign, thus, let us continue to carry out these relentless efforts in the performance of our duties and responsibilities with endless support from our community and other law enforcement agencies,” Bearis said.
