Celeste Cortesi begins her Miss Universe journey wearing powerful red ensembles

Fashion has always been a big part of pageants. In the past years, style has played an essential role in telling a candidate’s story, using design to celebrate culture, heritage, and individuality. For Filipina queens, working with local fashion creatives guarantees that it is made not only right but with superb chicness. One example of this is Celeste Cortesi’s ensembles as she begins her journey to the Miss Universe pageant.

The Filipina beauty queen heads to New Orleans for the prestigious beauty contest wearing stunning ’fits in powerful red color. During her official sed off, Celeste’s stylist Perry Tabora dressed her in a modern terno dress by Filipino designer Chris Nick. The high-neck dress features the iconic butterfly sleeves and delicate ruching and draping making it look more romantic. Adding glamor to the look are jewelry pieces from Jewelmer.

Fierceness is what her airport look is all about. Her love for red continues with a wrap coat with fur trim paired with red boots. Making the ensemble sleeker is a pair of cat eye sunglasses and a high ponytail.

With these looks, we cannot wait to see what Celeste will be wearing throughout her Miss Universe journey.

The 71st Miss Universe pageant will take place on Jan. 14, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Last year’s winner, India’s Harnaaz Sandhu, will crown her successor by the end of the event with the new “Force for Good” crown.
