The year is kicking off strong as Acer introduces a slew of new devices. One of them includes the 2023 Predator Helios that comes in 16 and 18-inch models. It will have Nvidia’s GTX 40 GPUs, so yes, expect some high-powered gaming, and comes with an option for a 250Hz Mini LED display–which is as crazy as it sounds.
Mini LEDs are still not as widespread as other displays are still taking off with OLED. But Mini LEDs are brighter and can last longer. Acer hasn’t mentioned the exact official price of the Mini LED option, but for the Helios 16 starts with 2560x1600 with 165Hz is roughly 1,649.99USD. The Helios 18 starts with 1,699.99 with the 1920x1200 with 165Hz display.

For Intel processors you can choose between 13th Generation i7 or i9. Memory starts in 32GB DDR5 and 2TB SSD. Ports included are two Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, three USB A Gen 2, and a microSD card reader.
This is a gaming laptop we’ll be sure not to miss, so expect a full review once the unit lands into our hands later this year.
