Insurance giant Allianz PNB Life is looking to a long-term partnership with Rebisco as Creamline Cool Smashers’ platinum sponsor in the upcoming 2023 PVL season.

After having Philippine national team mainstay and Creamline’s captain Alyssa Valdez as its longtime ambassador, the brand has decided to tap the whole franchise to carry its brand name.

The global brand is expecting to strengthen its ties in the Philippines seven years after arriving in the country through sports.

“We might be a global brand, and yes we are a very strong global brand, but we are fairly new in the Philippines. And therefore, we need strong local brands to support us. So we are equally proud to be a partner with companies like Rebisco,” said Allianz PNB Life president and CEO Alex Grenz during the partnership launch on Monday, Jan. 30, at the Ronac Living Gallery in Shaw.

The Cool Smashers are bracing for their title defense in the PVL All-Filipino Conference which kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 4, against reigning Reinforced champion Petro Gazz Angels at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“Volleyball is one of the key sports in the Philippines and I’m very much looking forward to seeing you playing. And I would like to encourage you while I think number three is not too bad because we are also number three but I would like to encourage you to aim for the championship. And we will do our best going forward to support you in that,” he added.

Aside from volleyball, Allianz has also set its sights on other sports like grassroots football as it “doesn’t want to focus on one sport only” and eventually “diversify” the support.
