The Parañaque city government has asked for public understanding for the delayed collection of garbage on Jan. 2.
The city government through the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) issued a statement explaining that the delay in garbage collection in the city was due to the transition of the city’s garbage collector from Leonel Waste Management Corporation to Metrowaste Solid Waste Management Corporation.
According to the Facebook page post of the Public Information Office (PIO), the city government is currently finishing the collection of garbage at the main road.
The city government said the collection of trash in the city’s secondary and barangay roads will follow soon.
The city government also advised the residents to visit the official Facebook page of CENRO Parañaque for updates and details on the garbage collection.
Mayor Eric Olivarez is asking for the understanding of the resident in the delay of garbage collection as the city government is doing its best to finish the gathering of trash that piled up during the holiday celebrations.
