K-pop group TWICE’s Dahyun tests positive for Covid-19; Korea’s daily cases at 64,000
K-pop girl group TWICE member Dahyun has tested positive for Covid-19 as South Korea averaged 64,000 new cases in the past week.
“We are sad to inform you that TWICE member Dahyun has tested positive for Covid-19 antigen testing on Tuesday, January 3rd,” JYP Entertainment announced on Jan. 3.


It added, “Dahyun tested positive for self-diagnosis kit around 10 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd, and is currently quarantined, following the guidelines from health department after testing positive for COVID-19 antigen testing on Tuesday, January 3rd.”
“We will prioritize our artist's health and put our best effort for her quick and healthy recovery,” the agency said.
Based on data from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, South Korea recorded 81,056 new Covid-19 cases on Jan. 3 to bring the total confirmed cases to 29.22 million since 2020.
From Dec. 28 to Jan. 3, South Korea averaged 64,077 new Covid-19 cases daily.
