Anti-dumping duty on Turkish flour expiring

The Tariff Commission said the definitive anti-dumping duty on the importation of wheat flour from Turkiye is set to expire on October 27 this year and urged concerned parties to submit their position on the matter.

In an advisory, the Commission urged concerned parties to file a written request for an expiry review before the Secretary of Agriculture no later than six months prior to the termination date. “The request must contain sufficient evidence that the expiry of the definitive anti-dumping duty would likely result in a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury,” the TC said in the advisory issued on Dec. 2, 2022.

The anti-dumping duty, which is imposed for a period of three years, took effect on Oct. 28, 2020 and is set to expire on Oct. 27, 2023.

The Commission extended for three years the anti-dumping duty imposed on Turkish wheat flour imports in 2020. The corresponding anti-dumping duty for exporters of Turkish flour to the Philippines ranges from 2.87 to 29.57 percent.
