CEBU CITY – Four persons were arrested while P15.3-million worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Metro Cebu on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Brig. Gen. Jerry Bearis, director of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7), said the series of operations were the result of the analytical efficiency of the PRO-7’s Center for Public Safety Analysis.
“Our analytical and intelligence-based policing approach will continue to deliver huge and impactful results and this should be a fair warning to all criminals,” said Bearis.
Arrested in Barangay San Nicolas here were Juver Becoy Paca, 36, and Reynaldo dela Cerna Cabangca Jr., 24. The suspects were cornered by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit in a buy-bust operation past 8 p.m. Seized from the suspects were 105 grams of suspected shabu worth P714,000.
A 40-year-old woman yielded 140 grams of suspected shabu worth P952,000 in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City past 10 p.m. Police said Flordeliz Cadungog Dacles, a resident of Barangay Suba, Cebu City, was considered as a high-value individual.
In Barangay Tayud, Consolacion town, Cebu, a 38-year-old man who is among the Top 10 Regional Priority Targets was arrested shortly before midnight with suspected shabu worth P13.6 million. The suspect was identified as Lunicito Juario Labitad. The illegal drugs seized from Labitad weighed at least two kilos, police said.
