The Philippines on Friday, Jan. 27, confirmed another 200 cases of Covid-19.
Active cases or those still receiving treatment or undergoing isolation were at 10,094, latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed.
Metro Manila still remained as the top region with the most number of infections in the past two weeks with 908 cases recorded.
Next was Calabarzon with 474, Western Visayas with 248, Central Luzon with 231, and Davao Region with 190.
The country's cumulative total of cases was at 4,072,592, including 3,996,745 recoveries and 65,753 deaths.
The DOH reminded the public to avoid complacency despite the low number of cases.
Even though the cases are plateauing, we see that it is manageable, we should not be complacent. We just need to continue to be careful, be vigilant, and continue to protect yourselves as well as your family)," DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said.
It's important to follow the health standards such as wearing a mask if necessary and let's get vaccinated as it's one of the most effective ways to fight the Covid-19 virus)," she added.
