VIRAL! Kakai Bautista reveals she sang 'Maynila' theme song

"Mahal kong Maynila /  Sayo'y hindi mawawalay / Maynila, Maynila / Pangarap kong mabubuhay / Paglingap na walang kapantay."

This is the lyrics of the theme song of the television drama romance anthology show "Maynila" which debuted more than two decades ago.

Just recently, singer Kakai Bautista surprised fans with a revelation relating to it.

It's her voice.

On TikTok, Kakai used the theme as background to a clip she uploaded.

"Hulaan nyo kung kaninong boses yern?," the text on it read.

Then she wrote in the caption: "MAHAL KONG #Maynila SURREAL."

The clip immediately trended, earning 1.3 million views.

Seemingly eager to prove she is the voice behind the tune, Kakai uploaded a video of her singing the song, going on to garner 2.5 million views.

"Maynila Theme. After 20 years!"

Many online users shared their thoughts about it.
