The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) said on Thursday, Jan. 26, that its official Facebook page is now available to deliver announcements about its programs and services to the public
We would like to inform the public that the official Facebook page of the DSWD-NCR will once again be available for the transmission of significant information about the various programs and projects of the agency that will help those from the National Capital Region),” the agency said in a Facebook post.
The announcement was made after the agency’s official Facebook account was hacked on Jan. 13.
In a statement on Jan. 15, the DSWD-NCR apologized to the public for any inconvenience caused by the hacking incident.
The DSWD would like to inform the public and our clients that the official Facebook page of the DSWD Field Office-NCR was hacked around 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023. This is why there are unusual posts that are not related to the agency’s activities),” the DSWD-NCR said.
It said it conducted an investigation to recover the agency’s official Facebook page and contacted the relevant government agencies for investigation into the incident.
