Cavite City imposes curfew for minors after grenade blast that killed 3
CAVITE – The local government unit (LGU) of Cavite City imposed a curfew for minors following a grenade blast that killed three and wounded four others on Jan. 25.
Starting Thursday, Jan. 26, all persons aged 18 years and below will not be allowed to go out from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Denver Chua says the city government condoles with the families of the victims killed in the blast. The LGU is also coordinating with other families affected by the incident.
A statement from the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) says that on the night of the incident, two groups of male teenagers engaged in a brawl, reportedly chasing and throwing stones at each other until barangay officials accosted them.
One of the suspects reportedly had a hand grenade, which exploded during the incident.
Victims identified as Julius Tindoc, Joseph Barrera, and Mark Gio Layug were killed in the explosion.
Three other victims, identified as Erickson Valenzuela, Alejandro Dizon, and Reymart Patricio, along with the suspect, Arjay Camacho, were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The minor suspect, identified as alias Daniel, was turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
