AirAsia Philippines closes the first month of 2023 with a 90 percent average load factor, a 10 percent increase from the same period last year, the budget carrier announced Thursday, January 26
Caticlan, Cebu, Tagbilaran, Davao, and Iloilo remained as top domestic destinations while Seoul, Bangkok, Osaka and Tokyo emerge as the most preferred international routes.
“January has set the pace for AirAsia Philippines. We have seen an uptick in travel demand in the past 25 days due to the reopening of more international destinations during the fourth quarter of 2022," according to Head of Communications and Public Affairs Steve Dailisan.
"With the reopening of the China market, we are highly optimistic in restoring our international capacity this year," he added.
The budget carrier is mounting a three-day sale, offering from a 20 percent discount, or a minimum savings of P336, on flights from Cebu to Manila, Catilcan, Puerto Princesa, Davao, and Incheon through the Cebu leg of the BDO Travel Fair happening on January 27 to 29, 2023.
Other destinations are also up for sale for travel until September 30, 2023.
