20-year-old man yields over P540,000 worth of shabu in Quiapo buy-bust
A 20-year-old man yielded over P540,000 worth of “shabu” in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 383, Quiapo, Manila on Monday, Jan. 23, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported on Thursday, Jan. 26.
MPD identified the suspect as Alinair Nasser Sultan alias "Bati," 20, a resident of Brgy. 383, Quiapo.
According to the police report, joint forces of the District Traffic Police Office (DTPO) and Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of MPD Barbosa Police Station 14 conducted the entrapment operation at about 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
Recovered from the suspect were four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 75 grams of suspected shabu worth P544,000, a brown belt bag, and the buy-bust money.
All drug-related evidence were submitted to MPD Forensic Unit for custody and examination.
Police said the suspect is now detained at PS 14 custodial facility for violations of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
