Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish opens Jubilee Door

Newly installed parish priest Rev. Fr. Artemio Fabros is inviting the faithful to visit the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Sta. Mesa Manila as it opens its Jubilee Door.

Fr. Fabros expressed hope for a deeper and more widespread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the opening of the church’s Jubilee Door to mark the 120th year of devotion to the Sacred Heart.

“We are praying for a deeper and stronger devotion to the Sacred Heart for the people of Sta. Mesa as well as in the whole of Metro Manila and nearby areas. We are inviting you all to visit the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish to gain an indulgence,” said Fr. Fabros.

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula led the opening of the church’s Jubilee Door on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Visitors to the church may gain indulgence after going to confession, receiving Holy Communion, and praying for the intentions of the Holy Father Pope Francis.

Established on Feb. 11, 1911, the parish is under the care of the Franciscan Capuchin missionaries.
