CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested 12 suspected drug personalities in the Cordillera region from Jan. 15 to 21.
The Regional Operations Division of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera said the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) arrested five, Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) four, Abra PPO two, and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) one.
Suspects were identified as Paulo Salinas, 29; Emil Hipolito, 34; Sebastien Roy Kamura, 21; Franz Luis Chan, 19; Angelo Vinoya, 35; Ryan Dogwaon, 36; Marissa Agnaya, 42; Jayson Aga-id, 26; Jerome Niduaza, 43; and Bonifacio Garcia, 39.
Seized from them were 0.10 grams of suspected shabu and 24,000 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with an overall standard drug price of P941,320.
Suspects face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, police uprooted 5,240 fully-grown marijuana plants with a standard drug price of P1,048,000 in four plantations in the province of Benguet.
