Ryssi Avila introduces son to the public

"Idol Philippines: Season 2" runner-up Ryssi Avila surprised fans recently revealing via social media that she's now a mother.

On YouTube, the 25-year-old introduced her five-month-old son, Anghel.

According to Ryssi, herson gave her a new "purpose" in life.

"Si Anghel talaga yung naging sagot sa lahat ng mga tanong ko at siya yung bumuo sa akin," she told fans.

On the description box, Ryssi also wrote: "Lord, thank you for blessing me with the best gift ever. I promise to love and protect my angel. Forever grateful."

The latter part of the video included behind-the-scene photos of Anghel's Christening.

Among the attendees were singers Michael Pangilinan and Bugoy Drilon.
