Caloocan gov't inaugurates 3 new facilities

The Caloocan City government announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24, the inauguration of two barangay halls and a new multi-purpose hall in the city last Jan. 21 and 22.

The two barangay halls located in Barangays 174 and 35 were inaugurated on Sunday, Jan. 22.

The newly constructed barangay halls are composed of three floors.

The city government said the Barangay 35 Hall has a treasury office and an assembly room.

The other facility in Barangay 174 has a conference room, a detention center, and an office dedicated to the Sangguiang Kabataan.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the construction of the halls were part of his projects when he was still the city’s First District representative.

He added that the said construction projects seek to improve public service and facilities toward a progressive city.

“Magsisilbi po itong tanggapan ng ating mga opisyales at kanilang mga kawani na kaagapay natin sa paglilingkod sa bawat komunidad (This will serve as the office of our officials and staffs who are our partners in serving each community),” Malapitan said.

Meanwhile, Malapitan also led the ceremonial services for the new multi-purpose hall in Barangay 172 last Saturday, Jan. 21. He reiterated that the city government will focus more on sports and recreational facilities.

“Binuksan din po natin sa publiko ang bagong multi-purpose/tennis court sa Villa Magdalena 3 na maaaring gamitin ng kanilang komunidad sa pagtitipon-tipon at pagsasanay sa larangan ng palakasan (We also opened to the public the new multi-purpose/tennis court at Villa Magdalena 3 that can be used for gatherings and sports training),” he remarked.

"Mas pag-igihan pa po natin ang paglilingkod ating kapwa. Naniniwala po ako na malaking kaginhawaan po ito para sa araw-araw na trabaho niyo sa barangay. Pagmalasakitan po natin ang bawat isa tungo sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-unlad ng Caloocan (We'll work better to serve the community. I believe that this will provide you convenience for your daily work in barangays. Let's care for each other towards the continuous development of Caloocan),” he added.
