Three teenagers were placed under police custody after they allegedly robbed and mauled a 13-year-old boy in Brgy. Doña Imelda, Quezon City on Monday, Jan. 23.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Galas Station (PS 11) said that two of the apprehended teens were aged 16 while the other one is 15 years old, all residents of the said barangay.
According to the police, the victim was walking along Aurora Boulevard, in front of Univerity of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, at about 1:35 a.m. when the teens approached and repeatedly punched him. They also took his blue Realme cellphone.
The incident was witnessed by patrolling police officers who immediately chased and nabbed the teenagers. The victim’s phone was recovered.
Meanwhile, police also apprehended four other minors, ages 17 and 16, who were involved in a street fight between two gangs that caused fear among passersby in front of Diosdado Macapagal Elementary School in Barangay Tatalon on Monday.
They were nabbed at around 2 p.m. by Barangay Tatalon by public safety officers who brought them to the PS 11.
According to the police, a street fight involving the said minors and their groups also occurred in the area last Thursday, Jan. 19.
Police said the barangay public safety officers are reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage in the area to identify the other individuals involved in fight.
All the apprehended minors are under the custody of PS 11.
