2 men nabbed for theft in Makati

Two men were arrested by security officers of a mall in Makati City and members of the Makati City Police on Sunday, Jan. 22 for theft (salisi) inside a restaurant in Barangay San Lorenzo, Makati City.

The suspects were identified as Wilson De Jose, 22; and Christian Jay Marquez, 22.

According to the police report, a couple was having dinner in a restaurant inside Glorietta Mall when the woman noticed that her bag hanging on her pet stroller went missing.

The couple then reported the incident to the mall security where they reviewed the CCTV footage in the area and saw the two suspects taking the bag.

The security team located the suspects inside a sports apparel shop and brought them to the security office where they successfully recovered the missing bag of the woman and her other belongings.

De Jose and Marquez were brought to the Ayala Police Sub Station for documentation and filing of criminal charges.
