CSC to offer training courses on leadership, HR functions for gov't workers

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Monday, Jan. 23 that it will be offering more than 70 leadership, foundation, and human resource management (HRM) through the Civil Service Institute (CSI) this year.

In a statement, CSC stated that these courses include topics on various leadership and HR functions such as Leadership and Management Certification Program (CPro), Public Service Values Program (PSVP), CSI Leadership Series, Competency-based HR Program (CBHR), Learning and Development (L&D) Programs and Strategic HROD Series.

Registered participants who will successfully complete these online courses, including their requirements, will earn a certificate of completion with leadership and managerial training hours that can be used to meet the training requirement for managerial and supervisory positions in the civil service.

“Ito ay bahagi ng regular na programa ng CSC na maghatid ng learning and development interventions para sa mga lider at kawani ng pamahalaan. Mahalaga para sa ating mga lingkod bayan na mayroon silang continuous learning, na patuloy na madagdagan ang kanilang kaalaman at mahasa ang kanilang competencies na kinakailangan para makapagbigay ng maayos na serbisyo publiko (This is part of the regular program of CSC to deliver learning and development interventions for leaders and government workers. It's imperative for our civil servants that they get continuous learning, to constantly improve their knowledge in their competencies needed to provide proper public service),” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

He added that this year’s lineup of courses was designed to help civil servants, including managers and human resource practitioners, to navigate changes in the bureaucracy and the challenges of public service in the post-pandemic era.

The CSC chief also stressed that more learning and development interventions are being offered by the CSC Regional Offices (ROs).

The CSC-CSI’s Learning and Development Plan Matrix and the details about each course can be accessed at csi.csc.gov.ph.

Meanwhile, those interested in availing of training courses offered by CSC ROs may directly inquire with the CSC RO concerned. The directory of CSC offices is available on the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph.
