7 lawbreakers, P24,000 shabu, cigarettes seized in Nueva Ecija

Police arrested seven lawbreakers and seized suspected shabu and contraband cigarettes worth a total of P24,000 during anti-criminality operations in Nueva Ecija on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Col. Richard Caballero, acting Nueva Ecija police chief, said two suspected drug pushers and 0.15 grams of shabu worth P4,500 were seized by the Palayan City Police Station in Barangay Atate, Palayan City in a buy-bust operation.

Three men on board two tricycles were taken into custody by the Zaragoza Municipal Police Station in Barangay Concepcion East after they yielded cigarettes with a total value of P14,550 without pertinent documents in an “Oplan: Sita” operation.

Palayan City police arrested two individuals for transporting fake cigarettes onboard a tricycle in another Oplan Sita operation in Barangay Mapait.

Suspects face appropriate charges, police said.
