Duckeyy to coach Sibol MLBB in SEAG as Bren Esports rules qualifier

Francis “Duckeyyy” Glindro is set to coach the Sibol MLBB National team in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games after Bren Esports ruled the qualifiers with a 2-0 victory over amateur team Gamelab in the Finals of the qualifiers on Sunday, Jan. 22.

M2 World Champion coach Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro will be the man at the helm for Sibol MLBB Men's team for the country's title defense in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.

The victory capped a tournament-long brilliance for Bren, which beat Minana Esports in the first round of the playoffs before taking down AP Esports in the quarterfinals and M4 World Champion ECHO in the semifinals.

With the win, Duckeyyy will be facilitating the combine and the formation of the national team from the pool of players from the four teams that saw action in the semifinals of the qualifiers.

The win also gave Bren Esports captain Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel a shot at making it back to the national team after representing the country in 30th SEA Games in 2019. Joining him are Angelo “Kyletzy” Sayson, David “Flaptzy” Canon, Marco “Super Marco” Requitano, and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo.

Runners-up Gamelab, which bested Onic Philippines in the semifinals composed of top amateur players in Mark Ferry “Dokmen” Nazar, Vincent “Takenaga” Montilla, Masayuki “Yuktzy” Fujita, Bradford “Xboct” Amande and Jermain “Aizawa” Fernandez, will also join MPL pro-players in the combine. 

ECHO’s M4 championship winning roster of Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno, Alston “Sanji” Pabico, Benedict “BennyQt” Gonzales and Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya will also be part of the pool.

 Onic PH which eliminated M4 runner-up Blacklist International will have Jefferdson “Kekedot” Mogol, Stephen “Sensui”Castillo, Nowee “Ryota” Cabailo, Kenneth “Nets” Barro and Frince “Frince” Ramirez in the combine.
