CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher and shabu valued at P1 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Josef Sur here on Friday night, Jan. 20.
Col. Richard V. Caballero, acting police provincial director, said the 58-year-old suspect from Barangay Bantug Bulalo, this city, was nabbed after he sold two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Suspect yielded four more heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 129.3 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P879,240, the P25,000 boodle money, and a caliber .45 Armscor pistol with four bullets.
Police cited the arrest of the suspect. “We caught another big fish who is allegedly involved in big-time drug transactions in the province. Rest assured that the province is safe as we never stop our campaign against illegal drugs,” Caballero said.
The suspect will be charged with violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
