LTO issues show-cause order vs truck driver in Caloocan deadly road accident
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order (SCO) to the truck driver who was involved in a vehicular accident in Caloocan City on Jan. 17.
Roque I. Verzosa III, director of the LTO-National Capital Region-West (LTO-NCR-West), said the SCO was personally handed to the truck driver whose identity has been temporarily withheld pending investigation.
The road accident, based on the LTO report, occurred at the corner of Deparo Road De Gracia Street in Barangay 168 and led to the death of a 24-year old woman was then backriding a motorcycle that was hit by the truck.
The truck driver is currently detained at Caloocan City Police Sub-Station 9 on Congressional Road Extension, North Caloocan, for investigation and will face the appropriate punishment.
Meanwhile, Verzosa again reminded motorists to always be careful when driving on the road to avoid accidents.
