The Batang Pilipino Basketball League has now reached the final stage of its inaugural season as the 25 remaining teams, from the original 194 squads, figure in a three-day affair from Jan. 27 and 29 to determine the rightful winner of the championship title.

Elimination games are set to be held in San Juan Gymnasium, Ronac Art Center, Greenhills West Basketball Court, and the Filoil EcoOil Centre in the first two days of the tournament on Jan. 27 and 28 and with the Finals happening on Jan. 29 still at the San Juan Arena.
It will be the culmination of the work done by the league, founded by coach Ron Camara and Jun Ebdane, in the past nine months where a total of 194 teams were gathered, composed of 2,910 male and female players in the 18 Under category, from 65 municipalities and cities in all of the country’s 13 regions.
Aimed to discover, harness, and develop the potential of young athletes nationwide, especially those at the grassroots level, the BPBL have given aspiring basketball players the chance to showcase their wares – some of which actually have turned heads enough to be scouted by the country’s top collegiate leagues.
“Because of their exposure, some players have already been scouted and offered scholarships by UAAP and NCAA member universities and other local colleges. What’s more, the out-of-school youth who have been playing with us have been offered high school scholarships, as well,” said Camara.
All games can be watched online through Facebook livestream while fans who want to watch the game live can buy their tickets at the respective venue gates.
