Six persons were injured after a car driven by a policeman crashed into a parked tricycle in San Manuel, Naguilian, Isabela, police said on Monday, Jan. 2.
Major Juniel Perez, chief of the Naguilian police station, said in a radio interview that the car was driven by Corporal Frederick de Guzman, 37, a resident of the City of Ilagan and assigned to the Operations Unit of the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
Tricycle driver Mark Gil Manzano, 33, his wife Mariana, and three children – Mark Jay, Mark, and Mark Guian – were injured.
The victims’ tricycle had just parked on the roadside and waiting for their relatives when De Guzman’s car crashed into their vehicle due to slippery road.
The victims and the policeman were taken to the hospital for treatment.
