WATCH: James Reid apologizes to fans for 'difficulties' at Wavy Baby music festival

"I did everything in my power to give out the very best experience despite the rain and technical difficulties."

This is what actor-singer James Reid said recently in a video, apologizing to fans who attended the Wavy Baby Music Festival in Cebu recently.

"I promise to make it up to you," he added

The first-ever Wavy Baby Music Festival was produced by James' Careless music label.

He described it as a "crazy, amazing, hectic, wet, and wild weekend."

And he couldn't be more grateful to those who came out to experience the festival.

"To be honest, leading up to and even on Day 1, I was beyond stressed with all the unforeseen weather issues that made things very difficult,” James shared. “But despite all the challenges that came our way to Sinulog, I decided we need to push through and see Wavy Baby come to life for my amazing team. They worked so hard on this, for my fans and for the others who are part of this amazing experience.”

In any case, James also apologized to involved acts who weren't able to perform following "all the different technical requirements, the safety concerns and missteps."

“I apologize to you guys as well - to our international and Manila acts… We love you and appreciate you of your understanding of the situation,” he said.

James also said sorry to Cebu-based artists who were not also able to perform.

“I promise we'll make it up to you,” James promised. “You guys are all legends. Thank you."

James said he couldn't believe that thousands actually showed out at their gig, saying it was a "magical moment."

"An experience of a lifetime. I can't wait to come back soon," he said.

Note that prior, Careless' collaborator for the event, Eventscape Manila, already released a statement explaining logistical challenges relating to the event due to unforeseen circumstances including poor weather conditions.

This, they said, forced them to immediately compress show time, resulting in several bands being unable to perform.

They reiterated in a press release that it was never their intention to insult the artists who have graciously accepted their invitation.

"Nonetheless, we apologize to everyone, especially to the affected artists and their disappointed fans," the management said.
