Monsta X tops Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs, weekly album charts in Korea  


K-pop boy band Monsta X topped the latest Billboard Hot Trending Songs and the weekly album charts in South Korea.

According to Billboard, Monsta X’s “Deny” grabbed the No. 1 spot on the Jan. 21-dated Hot Trending Songs chart.

“Deny” is a song in Monsta X’s new album “Reason,” which came out on Jan. 9. In addition, four other songs in the album are in the top 10.

“Cresendo” is No. 5 followed by “Lone Ranger” at No. 6, “Daydream” at No. 7 and “It’s Alright” at No. 9.

In South Korea, “Reason” led the weekly album chart, according to Hanteo Chart.

“Reason” sold 326,503 copies (equivalent to 372,257 in physical record index) from Jan. 9 and 15 to top Hanteo’s weekly album chart.
