This just-opened store takes the statement ‘Treat yourself’ to whole new level

Only 200 meters long, Corso Como is known to be one of Milan’s most famous streets, offering the best of the city through the shops, restaurants, cafés, and vibrant nightlife spots that line it. Both locals and tourists tend to flock to this seemingly quaint street, which is home to some of Italy’s finest stores that sell only the rarest, most fashionable items.
It all started back in 2008 when owners Imelda Menguito and Valter Sciandra would source products directly from Italy and the EU for their loved ones. Corso Como was an area the two frequented, later nostalgically serving as their brand’s namesake. The business grew from casual requests into a full-blown import operations through Italian firm Infinity Exports SRL as its mother company. It is by this route that it is guaranteed that the products shipped from Europe to the Philippines would come at the best price and with fewer intermediary costs.

Lo and behold, the Filipino-owned, multi-brand luxury store Corso Como 88 was born. To celebrate the brand’s first retail store opening, an event reminiscent of an Italian nightout was held at Ayala Malls The 30th. Guests were given the opportunity to explore the newly opened store over cocktails provided by Aperol Spritz.
The store shelves were adorned with bags, shoes, and whatnot, from Italy’s most notable luxury brands, such as Valentino, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Avenue 67 Milan, Golden Goose, and more. Products from other European brands like Goyard, Delvaux, Givenchy, Hermès, Karl Lagerfeld, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, etc. were also available for customers to purchase. Corso Como 88 is also the official distributor of Buti Pelleterie in the Philippines.

In line with the sophistication of its product offerings, owner Imelda Menguito made it a point to accommodate guests by highlighting what the brand aims to provide its customers—luxury and class. By allowing Filipinos to access Europe’s finest bags and accessories with comfort and ease, Corso Como 88 takes the statement “treat yourself” to a whole new level.
