Alex Gonzaga breaks silence over smearing cake icing on waiter's face

Controversial actress Alex Gonzaga has expressed regret about smearing cake icing on someone's face.

On Twitter, she asked forgiveness from waiter Kuya Allan Crisostomo.

Alex said that God "taught" her a "hard" and "important lesson" - "humility, kindness and better judgment."

She also apologized to her family for causing "pain" and "embarrassment."

"I will rise from this a wiser and better person," she promised.

Recall that the 35-year-old social media star was in hot water after a video that showed her smearing icing on Allan's forehead went viral.

It received mixed reactions.

In a statement, Peter Ledesma, publicist of Gonzaga, explained Allan is a longtime “family friend.”

Meanwhile, in a statement sent to ABS-CBN, Allan relayed, “Last January 17, 2023 around 6:30 PM nasa work po ako. Pumunta po si Ma’am Alex kung saan po ako nagwowork.”

“Then nag apologize and nagsorry siya saken tapos konting kwentuhan at sinabi ko po sa kanya na ok na po yung nangyari. Ok na po kami.”
