New omicron subvariant cases

In a related development, a total of 45 new cases of Omicron subvariants were found based on the results of the genome sequencing.

The Philippine Genome Center conducted the genome sequencing last Jan.10 to Jan. 16, the DOH said.

"Meanwhile, the additional BA.2.75 case was from Region 6, while the XBC case was from Region 11," it added.
