Taguig’s No. 6 most wanted person arrested; 2 nabbed for shabu 


The Taguig police’s No. 6 most wanted person for the month of January was arrested on Jan. 17.

Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft identified the suspects as Cristofer Cervantes, who was captured by the police during a manhunt operation at Taytay Tiangge, Don Hilario Cruz, Taytay, Rizal.

Cervantes was nabbed by the Taguig police based on a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) issued by Judge Antonio Olivete of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 267 on Nov. 15 last year.

Accused is presently detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility pending the issuance of commitment order from the court.

Meanwhile, two men were arrested by the police in Taguig for possession of suspected shabu.

Personnel from the Taguig police’s Substation 6 were conducting “Oplan Galugad” along M. Tanyag Avenue, Barangay South Signal Village, Taguig when they saw the suspects, Ronnel Caña, 36, and Jay-Ar Francisco, 32, construction worker, in possession of the suspected illegal drugs.

Recovered from them were three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 7.25 grams with a value of P49,300.

They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165.
