Rookie K-pop girl group NewJeans made their debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Billboard released the latest Hot 100 chart dated Jan. 18, which showed Taylor Swift’s “Ant-Hero” taking the No. 1 spot.
It reported that NewJeans’ “Ditto” debuted at No. 96 on the Hot 100 chart, earning “the group its first career entry on the chart.”




“Ditto” is one of two songs in the single album “OMG,” which was released on Jan. 2. The song was pre-released on Dec. 19.
In addition, NewJeans’ “OMG” and “Ditto” entered the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 and and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, which “rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.”
On the Billboard Global 200 chart dated Jan. 21, “Ditto” and “OMG” grabbed the ninth and 10th places.
On the Billboard Global Excl. US chart, “Ditto” placed fifth while “OMG” is in seventh place.
In South Korea, NewJeans topped Hanteo Chart’s weekly physical album chart with “OMG” selling 701,241 copies from Jan. 2 to 8. The total is also NewJeans’ first week sales for the album.
Their previous album “NewJeans” recorded 311,271 copies in sales in the first week of release.
