Four men were arrested by the police on Sunday, Jan. 15, after they allegedly stole electrical wires and cash from a hardware in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS 13) identified the suspects as Ranel Aday, 46; Jovie Gonzalvo, 33; Rannie Bacarra, 21; and Mark Leano, 27, all from Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City.
According to the police, Jessie Versoza, the supervisor of M-Yohan Hardware, has been visiting their shop at the corner of Payatas Road and Golden Shower Street in Barangay Payatas during “wee hours (early morning)” to monitor since they were victimized by the suspects who were allegedly able to steal various items from them and escape last Jan. 6 and 10.
On Sunday, Versoza immediately asked for help from the police after he spotted Bacarra and Leano coming out from the ceiling of the shop carrying some of their products.
The police and the supervisor of the hardware secretly followed the suspects who went to Aday’s house in Barangay Commonwealth. The suspects were arrested at around 1 a.m. on the same day.

Staff Sgt. Charlito Benemili of PS 13, investigator on case, said the suspects destroyed a part of the ceiling of the shop to enter and escape from the building.
After the three suspects were apprehended, the police went back to the hardware and nabbed Gonzalvo after they noticed and saw him trying to escape with some loot through the destroyed part of the ceiling.
Authorities recoved from the suspects various items such as electrical wires, doorknobs, and circuit breakers worth around P77,000, and P28,000 cash.
