DPWH completes P10-M farm-to-market road in Pangasinan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office has completed a P10-million farm-to-market road in Barangay Bolaoen, San Fabian, Pangasinan.

District Engineer Edita Manuel said the 0.916-kilometer road will benefit hundreds of farmers and residents as they will be able to transport their produce faster to market centers and cut travel time to the town proper of San Fabian from one hour to 30 minutes.

“The farm-to-market road will help address the improvement of the selling of farm produce to nearby business centers, and sustained locally owned farm produce and products resulting in the increase of farmer’s income,” said Manuel.

The project implemented by DPWH was part of the convergence program of the agency with the Department of Agriculture.
