Four persons allegedly behind the carnapping of a tricycle were arrested by members of the Angat police station in Bulacan on Monday, Jan. 16.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the arrested suspects as Mac Henry Castillo, John Patrick Tambiao, Anelica Tagoon, and Ara Mia Casalla.
Prior to their arrest, the police said the victim went to the Angat police station and informed them that his tricycle that was parked nearby was stolen at around 12:45 am.
Patrolling policemen intercepted the suspects who were onboard the stolen tricycle in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Angat, Bulacan.
On Sunday, Jan. 15, five drug peddlers and a wanted person were apprehended during an enhanced police operation in the province.
Arnedo said the five drug peddlers were arrested during a drug buy-bust operation by Pandi and Bocaue police anti-drug operatives.
The suspects were identified as Moises Santos, Rodel Reyes, Michael Diaz, Mark Anthony Calma, and Christian Romance.
Recovered from them were a total of eight sachets of suspected shabu and marked money.
Meanwhile, a tracker team from Malolos City police, together with the 301 Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, served a warrant of arrest to a suspect identified only as Villanosa in Bangkal, Malolos City, for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injury and Abandonment of a person in danger.
Arnedo said the Bulacan police has intensified its campaign against all forms of criminality in conformity with the directives of Central Luzon police regional Brig. Gen. Cesar R. Pasiwen in keeping peace and order in the region.
