Karltzy silences doubters with return trip to M-series Grand Finals

From becoming the prodigy with flashy assassin plays in the M2 World Championships to a veteran jungler with now more boring but nonetheless effective utility jungle picks in his return to the M4, Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno’s career has truly gone full circle.

And the M2 MVP has one motivation all through it – to prove the doubters wrong especially after Karltzy made the big switch from Bren to ECHO, forming what seemed to be a powerhouse crew only to suffer a first round exit in Season 9.

“Gusto ko lang po patunayan sa mga nagdoubt sa amin na kaya rin po namin sumabay kasi since S9 pagkalipat ko ng ECHO lagi kami tinatawag na first round exit kaya san kayo (bashers) ngayon,” said Karltzy.

Indeed, Karltzy showed that he can still compete against the top junglers in the world stage, beating the likes of Onic Esports’ Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and RRQ Hoshi’s Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar on his way the Grand Finals in M4.

More than that, he also showed maturity in his game, showing the willingness to sacrifice his individual triumph for the greater success of the team.

“I think we’re the best team. I’m a team player right now. So, I don’t care about stats or MVP (award). I’ve been there,” said Karltzy earlier in the playoffs.

The focus right now is to help his team reach the pinnacle of MLBB Esports just like what he did in M2.

“I made a promise to myself to win them the championship like I did before.”
